File Storage
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill provides off-campus file storage at 2700 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill. For appointments, call Real Estate Operations at 919-966-3296 or property@unc.edu. We must have at least three days advance notice to put you on the schedule. Confirmation of the appointment will be emailed to you; if you did not receive a confirmation, please call the office. Because we are a small office, the more notice you give, the more likely we can accommodate your timeframe.
It is the department’s responsibility and sole cost to physically move any items. The University Movers or private movers can be scheduled to handle materials, but only in conjunction with Real Estate Operations to arrange access. A department representative is required to be on site during the move into the storage facility. The storage site will not be opened to ANY movers unless a department representative is there.
