Name: Loci Zsuppan
Title/Department: Leasing Manager, Real Estate Operations
F&O Start Date: October 2017
Years at Carolina: Twelve and a half
Professional background: After college, I worked at the State Employees’ Credit Union helping members open accounts, shop for insurance and obtain a mortgage. I sold residential real estate prior to joining Carolina Housing in 2011.
Education: I earned my Bachelor of Science in business administration and economics from Warren Wilson College. I obtained my Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designation, a commercial real estate credential, in 2020.
What does your job entail: On behalf of the University, I manage projects within leasing, asset management and other real property operations ranging from property acquisitions/dispositions to easements and other access agreements.
What is exciting you about your job right now: Real Estate is rarely the same from one day to the next, that’s what I love about it. It is exciting and rewarding to be able to work with staff, faculty and leadership across departments within the University. During the process of finding off-campus space, I get the opportunity to learn about each business unit or the different types of research that will take place in the new space. I also enjoy working with donors who gift real property so they can leave a lasting impression and benefit current and future students.
What is something we may not know about you: I was born in Budapest, Hungary. I moved to the United States and learned English at the age of seven. I am still fluent in Hungarian.
